My design career began shortly after graduating from high school when I took several evening art classes at the Gilmore Art Center (Now called the, Kalamazoo Institute of Arts). There I learned how to draw from life using pencils, charcoals and paper. I also worked part-time at Gilmore’s Department Store as an In-Store Sign Maker where I learned to create and print display signs used in the promotion of store merchandise.

As an undergraduate student in San Diego State University’s Art Department I developed an interest in oil and acrylic painting. This lead me to taking an illustration class where he learned to use markers and airbrush to create graphic illustrations. I graduated from SDSU with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design.

I’m currently taking classes at the San Diego Continuing Education Department where I have completed both an Interactive Multimedia Certificate Program and a Front-End Web Developer Certificate Program. I’ve also taken other classes in Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite, HTML 5, CSS3, E-Commerce Websites, SEO Optimization and JavaScript.
